Loading it up, at first I was thinking, oh this is slower than before
I always use Secret of Mana as my test - the menu's at the start seems scrambled for me - I dont think it's a problem with my rom so I'm not sure what's wrong with it. But once you get ingame - OMG working transparancies! This is the first time I've seen the waterfall from the intro looking proper since the late 90's
At 260Mhz I get ~14fps with transparncies on and ~24fps with it off. I'm leaving them on and thankfully it's still very playable with the frameskip. (Very excited!)
Oh and Crono Trigger is looking very playable too
Mario Kart seems to have taken a knock: at 270Mhz no transparencies I'm only getting ~6fps in GPmode.
Sooo cant wait to see where you take this Reesy! Thanks so much for your hard work.

Hm, that's strange. I'm getting 15FPS at the same oc, although it feels fullspeed anyway.
Try lowering your audio quality?

Reesy - Menu system, that's right I handle the really complicated shit.

NICE. I really love your emulator, and you just made it better. Do you want me to fail my exams?
EDIT:
It seems that in "Chrono Trigger BS - Jet Bike Special (J).smc" the sound (not the emulation) runs too fast. (twice the speed?)

Things still needed are Fullscreen Scaling, 44.1 khz sound and more speed, the latter being the most difficult one I guess.
But nonetheless a fabulous release, it's nice to see Reesy doin' his gp2x stuff again!!

Thanks again Reesy!
@nickmon: it runs most games fullspeed WITH transparencies!! And it uses that fabulous reesy menu!

Me too as it is such an attractive, intuitive and familiar interface.I love the fact that PocketSNES is using the same menu as DrMD!!
One thing I want to say is: Smooth Donkey Kong Country guys!
And one more thing: Maybe we should suggest this volume up+down idea (menu access) to GP2X Standards. It's so much easier and nicer to use than L+R+Start. The latter method can interfere with gameplay which is significant at times if savestates are involced and it's more fiddly being a triple button press.

Strange you write that select button and volume control does not work, but when I was playing Lemmings, pressing the Select button had the desired effect on the screens it works on, and I just tried the volume buttons, and lo and behold they work too (in any game).
Just thought you might like to know before you go altering any code.

At least alot of games are good at that speed.

Not quite perfection (frameskip's still pretty darn high on 200mhz - Super Metroid runs playably but as a slideshow once on Zebes with transparencies enabled), but for those as can overclock, this release is wonderful. Thanks

I also wonder if it's possible this may go dual core in the future. If it does, I'd be ready to say SNES emulation on Gp2x is 'complete.'
