I've recently installed Ubuntu and was thinking of turning that box
into a MythTV media server. But I wanted it to be more than that. I want to be able
to allow one family member to watch a movies while another plays any
Mame or native Linux games. Essentially making the Ubuntu box a proper
multi-media server.
I was hoping to be able to use the GP2X as a front-end. The only thing
is that I've not seen anyone try to do this sort of thing.
Any ideas if anyone has gotten MiniMyth working on a GP2X or similar
thin client handheld device?
Any ideas on how I can try to achieve this?
Thanks.

Although I really would like to see this, its a dream.
First hw requirements are very specific (all x86 mind you): HW Requirements
After looking closer you need at least 256 mb of ram, GP2X only has 64 and not all of it free.
Second you have to pretty much port many tools and dependencies: Build Requirements

In other words, its not possible on the GP2X.
Look at a superportable PC, such as the Asus EEEpc.
