Great Update ED

Any news on when MWeston will get the bottom half of the FDM's and if he has the time to complete initial prototype?

That one is currently in production and should be shipped within the next 2 or 3 days to him.

Thanks ED. I hope this will address many of the "crisis of faith" issues that have been abounding in recent days. It certainly has made me feel a bit more comfortable biggrin.gif

The whole crisis thing is in my opinion nothing but a blown airballoon with capital P for paranoid. tongue.gif

For me it's just a good investment on a product and it get's better in time. Period.

thnx for the updates!

i agree its a good investment. i think if you were to buy a similar device from sony or other major companies, you would be paying at least 3 or 4 times as much for it. as it is i think we are getting far more than our moneys worth even with all the development hick-ups. once everything has been resolved i think we will all just look back at it all as an epic but ultimately very satisfying journey.

Great update, it was nice to see things laid out like that, in a concise, linear fashion. However, I am still left wondering about the dates. Are you still ok with the timeline that you set up in the last update to the front page?

QUOTE

So, here is a mini-roadmap:
* Case Design: January 15th
* Case Prototyping: approx. 1-2 weeks later
* Final production and delivery: approx. 2 - 4 weeks later

I really don't mean to sound ungrateful at the latest post, because I really do appreciate the response to the concern that has arisen, but I think that reiterating that these dates are still valid would go a long way for many of us. Thanks.

The Case design and case prototyping, yes, they are valid. Final production will probably take a bit longer, as the company is pretty busy at the moment, so my guess is March, latest April.

We should ship everything on April 1st... nobody would believe us biggrin.gif

Now THIS is what your customers are looking for and if OP could write with this much information, honesty (and apologies if necessary) EVERY WEEK, then it goes a LONG way to reassuring us, and explaining things in enough detail that we have no need for speculation.

+1 (and that's a hint for the next weeks wink.gif )

You want 3 months worth of stuff (mostly bad stuff, no less) to happen every week? blink.gif

Thanks again Evil..........one more thing though, and this is just nit-picking! How long do you think the whole process might take, shipping wise? I mean, if the first batch of Pandora's were finished march 1st, are they still being send out on batches of 400 or so? Then how long might the shipping process be for all 4000?

Excellent news! Conciliatory and interesting (new hints) at the same time.
