I've just compiled GP2X version of gpSP, it has all fixes from Wiz version + software scaler as a bonus. The later causes more noticeable performance hit then on Wiz, but is still usable for some games with some overclock. I've also bundled it with RAM timings setting app, I don't think everyone was setting their RAM timings manually.

I'm interested how much emu oriented GP2X users we still have, if you are going to use this please post in this thread.

Still using mine - another great update for my trusty gp2x! ;)

I am really impressed by the performance increase. I remember an older version, which I then considered as unplayable, cause everything lagged.
This now is playble and fun. Great work.

Thanks for the update, just started playing with the new update this morning, and i love the software scaler, most games run perfect, only a few with stuttering sound. Big ThanX

Great to see a new update to this emulator. Nice to finally have the ROMs folder remembered, and the new software scaler really looks way better than the hardware one. :)

I've been setting my RAM timings correctly before, so I don't notice any (significant) speed increase though.

However, my real gripe is not on the speed, but on the compatibility. It's understandable that a few games won't work at all, but I find it a bit disappointing that a few games become unplayable because they lock-up or crash at some point while playing, especially if I've made a lot of progress already. :(

I noticed that the emulator seems to lock-up sometimes when the clock speed is changed back to 200MHz. This occurs even in the previous version, although it seems to occur less in this update.

Thanks for the update. I only have a F-200, so any improvements and new releases are really welcomed and appreciated. :D

I will be using mine for a long time as it has great software and had a wonderful retro community which probably neither the wiz or dingoo will ever have . I have no intention for either of those but might consider a Pandora at some point. I am not really into the gba but thanks for the update and continued support for the GP2X despite the better hardware out there.

This is a GP2X bug that I never really worked out despite best efforts. Changing the clock speed is somehow completely destroying the SDL audio thread sometimes.

Actually I wonder if the latest Temper release doesn't have this bug since it isn't using SDL for audio anymore.

I know I'll probably catch some slack for this, but I don't think the Dingoo is better hardware. The only real advantage from my point of view is the dpad. I hate the proprietary soldered in battery, smaller screen, it's really a chipod with gaming added on... Even if someone makes the case that it's better, it's certainly not "better enough" to "upgrade" from a gp2x and if I had neither one, I'd probably buy a used gp2x cheaper because you can pick them up used on ebay fairly cheap.

Aanybody confirm that Banjo Kazooie only runs the attract mode and then loops back skipping the game play . I tried with two diffrent version of the game , the games load and play fine on visualboy advance .... maybe I need to go back to an older version of the emu ,would love to play this on my GP2X.. Thanks Bud

I tried river city ransom EX but the game crashes after the title, also, the water in megaman & bass does not display correctly (wrong colors) and the legend of zelda A link to the past has wrong colors too, I think that this has been since previous versions.
