Hi,

I have ported tecnoballz to the WIZ.
You can get tecnoballz-wiz01.zip at http://drop.io/scachidev

This port is based on the gp2x version, only thing fixed
is the music volume bug (volume reset on level restart/next level).

Please test it and report back.

Regards,
scachi

I was just thinking about this game 2 days ago! Excellent work! There is a bug, however - the touchscreen is rotated and jittery, but it still plays fine with the d-pad. ;) Could the touchscreen be fixed in the future?

Thank you. I'll try to fix the touchscreen.

A first touchscreen control improved version.
It is still a bit jittery but now it is no longer rotated.
Grab tecnoballz-wiz02.zip from http://drop.io/scachidev/ if interested.

I really like playing this game with the touchscreen, thanks for the port :)

I want to make a suggestion: It is difficult to play as a right-handed person because there is no button I can press with my left hand to launch the balls. The "Menu" button on the left side of the Wiz would be perfect for this function but you are instead using it for bringing up the menu. I suggest using the "Select" button on the right side for the menu instead of using it for Pause. There's no need for a pause feature, since bringing up the menu pauses the game, too. You can also use the left trigger button too if that's not being used already.

It would also be nice if the touchscreen can be used for navigating the menus, too. Another problem is that when you bring up the in-game menu, the DPAD moves the selection way too fast for properly navigating it. Also, when you go to the bottom it scrolls waaaaay off and it's just not right :) I think you need to disable mouse emulation with the DPAD when the internal menu is brought up and use the DPAD for keyboard emulation temporarily until the menu disappears. I also suggest this for the main menu since the cursor moves too fast to easily navigate that menu very well, either.

A lot of good suggestions Senor Quack.
I'll try to implement them soon.

New version is available: get the file tecnoballz-wiz03.zip from http://drop.io/scachidev - Thanks to Senor Quack for his improvement ideas.
Added better controls for right handed touchscreen users.
Changes:
added "L" button to fire
changed "menu" button to release ball
changed "select" button to in-game menu
menu: up/down buttons now jump to entries directly
fixed highscore loading
score display fixed (no more invalid 111111)
