Nothing bad has happened as far as I'm aware.The Pandora Angst compo was the first coding compo I've taken place in. Considering how bad that's gone, definitely not.
Judging is a little slow (nearly as long so far to judge as it was to create the actual games), but I wouldn't say it's "gone bad" - or has something happened?
It just started as a bit of fun and got way more time consuming (and taken way more seriously) than anyone expected, I think. Iorgy77 is a long standing community member and EvilDragon is holding the prize pool, so there's nothing for anyone to worry about. Something something two months.

I thought it would be good for me to get involved in a compo. 1. It gives me a reason to keep coding. 2. I thought I might get some useful criticism or at least some feedback. 3. I thought it would "set the bar". By that I mean I can see how I compare to other coders, and where I can improve. Now I've waited and waited and waited and its been so long I don't even really remember what my game even looked like (not really but you get the idea) I don't know how useful the criticism would be.
It sounds weird but I guess I'm just desperate for some kind of interaction. Typically having to do with code. One month turnaround time for this kind of interaction is just very disappointing.

Lack of feedback can be frustrating, I know. I don't have any direct involvement at this point (I just did some judging) so I can't help to speed it up. One month isn't all that long though. If instant feedback is what you seek, perhaps coding comps aren't the best way to get it.

I think many people don't want to comment the entries yet because not to affect the contest results. We can say that the only complaint of this contest is that they don't have elect the judges. We have to be pacient. But you can start a thread to know the oppinion of the users, and I think that you can receive a lot of comments. Your game is very funny and have a lot of work. Most of the entries are very good.
In my oppinion the PACC contest is a sucess. We have many good quality entries and they have a big prize to divide.
Take your own decission about the Wiz, but the open source scene is like a wave. Sometimes you are a bit ignored in some forums (see "console war") and two days after you will receive a lot of comments. You must to try to comunicate with your users, to let know what they think about your work.
My advice is you can sell two Wizes and keep one to continue programming.
The Wiz and other open source consoles are the best for this, because is very easy to program in many languages and you can share (or sell) your applications without problems from the manufacturer, like other commercial consoles.
