If you were to play it in an unlocked position and you weren't shaking the thing around will you be fine?I believe it's supposed to be that loose (this is actually what I was talking about in that other thread...). It seems it's loose enough that you should use it in the locked position when in your hands, but tight enough that you can use it in the unlocked position on a table (for watching videos, or perhaps if you hook up an external keyboard & mouse). I just wish it didn't snap to the locked position so easily so that it would be possible to leave the screen angled like the DS...maybe it's not so bad in person?
Is it only me or is the hinge a bit too loose... :/
I don't know...
Also, FWIW, my DS Lite also swings into the locked position if you shake it like he does in the video.

Depends how "enthusiastically" you play. If you mash buttons, then likely you will shake your unit unintentionally. That might make your screen wobble, I don't know because I don't have my Pandora yet.

Boy, if I had a nickle for ever time I've unintentionally shaken my unit from playing over-enthusiastically...

Sounds like a quote for the knob polishing thread.Boy, if I had a nickle for ever time I've unintentionally shaken my unit from playing over-enthusiastically...
And from astewardson's video, it looks like if you have the screen tilted up but not locked, it'll stay up by itself if you set it down, and it'll stay up with moderate shaking while holding it. You might cause it to drop if you furiously shake it after losing a life in Contra or something, but it doesn't look too inconvenient to just prop it back up if you must.

I don't think a camel would fit...Or try popping a [*I AM STUPID SPAMMER*] in the SD slot, that might stiffen things up nicely.
