Anyone know of any good repair places in the US (preferably NY/the northeast) that can do Wiz screen repair/replacement?

Not in the U.S., no. You could try the gp2x store but I don't think they do repairs and lately haven't been good at answering e-mails either. The after sales place in Europe is probably your best bet.

That's a drag to hear. my Wiz broke three days into owning it.

What;s this European aftersales place, and what exactly do they do? Repairs?

I'd first contact the place you bought it from. This is the place listed as the after sales location. It's in Germany: http://www.ptn-global.com/
Throw them an e-mail if if you can't resolve this with the place of purchase. Yeah, from what I've read they do repairs.

Do you know if they speak English, or am I going to have to use Google translate?

Here you are the official information:

http://www.globalgph...d=notice2&no=13

If you are in warranty the repair will be free of charge. If you don't have warranty or you cracked the screen the repair has a cost. But you must to write to explain your problem, and they answer to you. I think they speak English too.
