Hi!
Are there any plans to integrate a UMTS reciever in the pandora? I think this would be really useful (at least in germany where UMTS is available almost everywhere). Of course it is possible to plug a surfstick to the usb port but it's one more thing to hang around loosely and maybe break the box if you stuff it in your pocket.
TIA,
Michael

Welcome Keldrin.
I dont think theres any plans to add anything hardware wise to the Pandora. The downtime in production would be huge. Pandora 2 is likely in the future if this version sells well enough when continued production allows further batches beyond the 2 currently pre-ordered ones. The OPT team arent even breaking even on Batch 1, so they need time to get some profit back from Batch 2 and thereafter, plus its a decent system that despite its 'apparent lack' of the fastest cpu possible, has plenty of power to cover its intended aims for a long time to come. The software library will grow as more people and devs get units and the community grows.
For now you'll need a USB 3G (UMTS) stick or a mifi device instead.
