Hi All,

ColEm is one of the best emulator of the ColecoVision videogame system running on FreeBSD, HP-UX, SunOS, Solaris, Linux, and other Unix systems.
There are also ports to MacOS, MSDOS, Windows, OS/2, PocketPC and other systems. See http://fms.komkon.org/ColEm/ for further informations.

What's new in then in this version :
- Multiple USB joysticks support
(the default is for PlayStation2 Twin USB adapter, see the README to write your own configuration file)
- global configuration for the rom folder
(you can now use the folder you want to put your roms)
- CPU Overclock support
- Sound bug fix (bad sample rate)
- New title icon from Mospaedax

The binary archive contains also a simple tool to help you to configure the usb joystick properly
(it displays the code that should be used to write your own configuration file)

All files are available there : http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/

Enjoy,

Zx

Thank you very much! I'm getting my Caanoo in a week and this is sure to be one of the first emulators I fire up.

If you want to play with only one usb joystick, you need to set the Usb joystick to "player 1" in joystick menu.

EDIT: i'm using this http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ps2-to-ps3-controller-adapter-converter-cable-10908

This works perfect thanks to the joystick app. I am up and running. Is there any way to make it select player 1 joystick by default? I only have a single adapter. I tried saving the settings but they reset when I close out of the emulator and go back in.

Yes, i've encountered the same issue, so i've fixed it and put a new version on my blog :

Just after you enter the emu, you just need to modify the player you want for your joystick and then save the joystick configuration. Since no game are loaded it will be saved as the default configuration.

Works perfect now thanks so much. I will be donating as soon as my next paycheck comes in. Do you plan on doing this for the rest of your emus? Atari 2600, intellivision, and vectrex would rule!!!

I'm working on my favorite emu (i.e Amstrad CPC) right now. I was able to enjoy Ikari Warrior with my son yesterday evening using two PS2 pads and TV-out :P. I will then do the same for other emus.

Any chance for a Colem 1.1.1 Wiz compile? Global ROM directory sounds perfectly right for me :)
