It is just epic. Remember to remap controls! Set it how do you want (even keep the default bottons) but just redo the setting. It's a very little bug.

You can launch ginge games via the stock menu!animatch is good, as for the others they sucked. cave story is good but i hate running stuff from the ginge menu so much so that i avoid it, i'd rather have it native caanoo so it's on my game list with the others, not let me open ginge, then the game...

Ian made a post like 'two new gamesī sometime ago about guru and another nice puzzle.
Search the forum as I canīt recall now, it has pictures there.
Both are great games, Iīm not found of puzzlers but guru got me hooked to no end, Iīm over level 100 now...
It is important to īpesterī developers in a good way, so if you guys think his games are good, let him know, he has a few more games that such motivation could help out him port it... go check dino defense, his last release and also a pandora rebirth entry, there is a pc version too, quite awesome, it would be great to have it on the caanoo with stylus play!

Here an example on how to start Cave Story directly through Ginge...thanks! any links? I assume it uses a custom ini file or something? I can't find the info...
1. Copy Ginge into directory /apps/ginge
File /apps/ginge.ini
[info] name="Ginge Is Not Gp2x Emulator" path="/ginge/ginge.gpe" icon="/ginge/_icon.png" title="/ginge/_title.png"Icon & title bar for Ginge
File /apps/ginge/_icon.png
File /apps/ginge/_title.png

2. Copy GP2X Cave Story into directory /game/cavestory_gp2x
3. Create a shell script ginge_cavestory.gpe and put it into directory /game/cavestory_gp2x
#!/bin/sh /mnt/sd/apps/ginge/ginge_prep --nomenu ./doukutsu.gpe cd /usr/gp2x/ exec /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu
4. Create the ini file cavestory_gp2x.ini and put it into directory /game
[info] name="Cave Story GP2X" path="/cavestory_gp2x/ginge_cavestory.gpe" icon="/cavestory_gp2x/_icon.png" title="/cavestory_gp2x/_title.png"This has a reference to the newly created Ginge script, instead of the game startup script.
Icon & title bar for Cave Story
File /game/cavestory_gp2x/_icon.png
File /game/cavestory_gp2x/_title.png

5. The directory /game/cavestory_gp2x should now look like this
Directory of E:\game\cavestory_gp2x
01.04.2012 11:43 <DIR> .
01.04.2012 11:43 <DIR> ..

3 Dir(s) 917'470'425'088 bytes freeThat's it. Cave Story should now appear in the Caanoo Games category. You will also find an example on how to start Temper Wiz directly through Ginge in the Caanoo Emu Pack.
Important note:
All text files on the Caanoo must be in UNIX format. Use a decent editor such as Notepad++ to convert your text files to UNIX format.

As you can see, this text file is already in UNIX format.
Notepad++ is also available on Portable Apps. My favorite editor is UltraEdit, but it's not freeware.
