Please post your experience with games on PSX you played.

Score Explanation: 5 points -> at the border of playable. 7 points: ok playable. 9+ points: excellent playable. I used the speed hacks in most games. Maybe I did some things wrong, if someone got better results please tell me how. In General: More polygons (3d models) more slowdowns.

Blood Omen
10 hours gameplay. Fullspeed, some minor graphic bugs on Rev14. On Rev 10 it worked without a problem. 9 of 10 points.

Crash Bandicot 2
Complete Playthrough. Some level worked on max settings with some slow downs. Had most time without lightning, rare slowdowns. 6/7 out of 10 points.

Alundra
2 hours gameplay. Fullspeed no bugs (maybe very small graphic glitches). 10 of 10 points.

Resident Evil 1
2 hours playtime, fullspeed except outside where ravens appear. 9 of 10 points.

Driver
1 hours. Way to slow, disabling helps a bit but makes very very ugly. 2-3 of 10 points.

Need for Speed 3
10 hour game time.No lightning, some slowdowns. 6-7 out of 10 points.

Diablo 1:
Some bugs with saving in Rev14. Some slowdowns without lightning speed 8 of 10. With lighning 6 of 10. With bugs: 4 of 10. Maybe Rev15 will fix them.

GTA 2

9,5 of 10

Depends on the screen to much buildings slows it down. But it often works with speedhacks. Often Disabe XA Decoding and CD Audio to improve speed a good bit. Have no working cue file just the bin file. May the speed be improved with a good cue file? Very playable and funny. Almost finished the first city :)

I have a problem with GTA2, it just won't start, black screen is everything I'm get.
I tried with the following isos:
"GTA 2 (PAL) - RIP.bin" md5: 30b721df27e9880fdd2d01d0c55bafa4
"Grand Theft Auto 2 [NTSC-U] [SLUS-00789].bin" md5: 5f478946f4878e8d636f63a14530a7eb

GTA 1 works like a charm...

Interessting topic. Are the eboots different then normal images? Different frame rate, different resolution, color depth... or all the same?

the eboots are just images(.bin .image etc) that were converted to an eboot to run on a psp with custom firmware,
but in the read me for the emulator it states that u can use eboots and its right they work

Ok now that R15 is out here are some changes:

All games have the following settings unless otherwise noted:
Frameskip 0
disable cd
overclock 750
psx clock 45
assume GTE on
disable gte on

Final Fantasy 8
8.5
Plays great now with no crashes, seems faster now too, especially when you summon a guardian force.

C-12
7.5
After playing it more and setting it at 800mhz it is actually quite playable for me and only really slows down occasionally.

Vagrant Story
8.5
The occasional slow down but no more crashes, looks and plays great.

Has anyone played the games I have mentioned in this thread? If so do you agree with my assessments so far?

oh and hey Rohezel, I can't get past the garage on driver but it seemed to play full speed for me, could you maybe send me one of your Driver save files?

WWF Smackdown 2 works good with the xa enabled, overclocked to 6 to 700, and 0 frame skip.
