i`ve got it, but not noticed any of these speed improvements, games like Double Dragon 1 and 2 still need my GP2x to be overclocked, to be playable.

Same here, still can't get games like Donky Kong, Gauntlet or Pang to work, has problems loading thr Rom's it says. They work fine on my Xbox version of MAME.

not tryed this one but noticed that in the last version bubble bobble stopped working for some reason :angry: dont knwo why :huh: for some reason i just love that song from bubble bobble!!!

Gaplus sound is much better now, seems smoother too.

Galaxian has most of the sound working now, although the background "beat" is way slower than normal. It is much better now though, thanks Franxis :)

As you know only Bobble Bobble works. No problems here with Version 2.0 and 2.1. Runs with MAME GP2x fast version. And yes, the music is really catchy. One of my favourites, too. :D

Not sure virusx Just copied all the roms from my MAME DVD (MAME-X).
All the ROMS work fine on my Xbox and also on my PC version of MAME.

Is there a guide on installing MAME on your GP2X, just in case I have done something wrong. Games Like Alien Syndrome, Double Dragon, Kung Fu Master, Lode Runner and Salamander work fine. Galaga & Gaplus do not work (failing to load Roms) also failing to load are Donky Kong, Gauntlet or Pang.

Really happy with my GP2X though because I like the fact I can watch Family Guy anywhere I go now.

You need a specific romset. Most roms have changed in MAME since version 0.34 but some like the ones you have that work havent changed enough to stop working. You need to find an 0.34 romset from somewhere.

As Iorgy77 said, you need to have the romset 0.34 to 0.35b9-0.35rc1.
It's an old version of the romset that had been used in Mame before.
You could find the 0.35 romset and use the .dat provided with a rom manager program.

EDIT : Many roms have changed since this 0.35 romset, even older games (Mame is 0.105 now)
That's why some of them doesn't seem to work for you.
