Yes it is very NGPC looking. smile.gif Just imagine a NGPC emu running on it full speed with sound someday... Finally having backlit NGPC games... *drool*

Damn I'm getting very impatient waiting for it now. tongue.gif
Alpha2
damn every time I check he site with either google or bablefish it always jumps to another site before I can see if anything interesting is being said... on the bright side all of the reader responses seem to be favorable as there's a lot of "Well" and "review" in the same sentence.

I couldnt tell if the white around the screen was just the edge of the screen or if they actually had a boarder drawn around the front of one unit. I like the color of the buttons though, gray but not to brightly gray.
Digital Awakening
I really like how this turned out. It would look even better without the battery pack for sure but I like it with AAs.

The only problem here is that the USB and PSU ports are still on the right side. This means that you can't for example (if it's possible) connect 2 units through a USB cable or use a PSU instead of batteries. I would have prefered all ports on the bottom, even the headphone port because it's more practical. Ports on the right side would work if they where higher up where you don't have your fingers when playing.

Wow, Now It looks sexy again biggrin.gif

Also, No It's no Mulit-Game player nomore

Now it's an Personal Entertainment Player ^^

Pimpinside.com? tongue.gif

What do you make of the stick material?

They should have photoshopped a GP to that figure's hands... smile.gif

Oh, it was one big picture, instead of several small ones... huh.gif

Looks very nice indeed smile.gif

I like the button color too. What's with the stick though? Seems like the top has some special material or a slighly rough surface maybe. I hope it's to prevent finger slipping smile.gif

this pmp also looks very cool smile.gif:

The control stick looks like some kind of rubber surface or something.

Looks like this will be one of the biggest concurrents for GPH in Korea. blink.gif It seems to even has a Flash-player.

400Mhz CPU (same as the Gizmondo)

Video Camera
Voice Recorder
FM Radio
Remote control for media functions
Keyboard

But no 2D or 3D chip as far as I can see...
...and the stick and buttons look awful for gaming
Digital Awakening
The stick have looked like that on all images (even the white one). But the plastic used for these buttons have a very high reflectivity giving some extreme contrast making the bumps more pronounced.

The Bestapro unit have a lot of nice features but it's no game machine when it comes to buttons, the pad is phone style, thumb buttons are not 90 degree placed and it have no shoulder buttons. However, for anyone who want a groovy PDA this is a good bet. I like it how they got all the pheripals sorted out and included in the package. It's probably quite expensive too, around PSP ($300) is my bet.
Jarska333
Well, that detachable keypad looks nifty.

WOW, its really nice now, heres the only things I don't like.

1. Dumb place for usb, and DC in.
2. The rubber "caps" that cover all the ports (I hate those things so much)
3. The headphones being on top (with a rubber thing)
4. The battery buldge
5. That drop down buldge (at the bottom of unit) bothers me a little
6. The yellow power thing is WAY to bright of a color, very distracting
7. Last but not least the stick that no one knows what to think of yet.

Anyone else notice they had one up and running (sure it had a power adapter) but I have not seen one running yet!
I want videos!
Nightmaresquad2
Rip the rubber thing off.
Put tape over the LED yellow light to dim it.

Problem solved.

I was thinking of ripping of the rubber things, but I would never have the nerve to do anything like that to my gp2x.

I don't think it is a LED, (I could be wrong) its just really bright yellow paint. Plus who wants tape on their system.

I did not mean to sound picky, just pointing out a few things.
Ninjia^
I like it, much sexier than the first edition model. Im not sure what to make of the white border yet, I personally think it would have been better if it were a little less bold maybe a grey instead of white? But thats not a big issue.

I think the battery buldge is smaller than previously aswell but it will still be a pain. Im suprised they didnt put the batteries in single file order like in a torch for example.

Alpha2
Looking at it again now that it's not 5 AM I'm noticing new things. The stick has been given a rough textured surface for more grip. I suppose this is a compromise for those who wanted the concave stick. If the surface is rubber like the PS2's Dual Shock 2 stick that might be helpfull but if it's plastic then it'll get worn flat in a year of regular use like the original Dual Shock thumbsticks (I had to run sand paper across mine to get grip again).

The yellow power symblo is not what lights up, in the very first image you can clearly see an LED to the left of it and one to the right of the Battery symbol

GPH said there'd be no multiplayer through the USB port so that's out, unless some genius figures it out so worying about the ports on the right side of the controller is useless.

The battery compartment might be a little annoying to see but it will probably end up being a good place to prop you rmiddle fingers on when you play so ergonomically it seems to be a good thing atleast.
Julius
Wow, my faith is restored. If that is how the final unit looks like I am really satisfied smile.gif

Btw, funny how they tried to hide the power cable in a shadow on those 'turned on' pictures biggrin.gif

this thing just gets better by the day biggrin.gif

I think that the white line around the screen is just the border of the protective glass. If they sanded the edge it would have that white reflective quality. It's hard to tell for certain though because in the first pic it looks more like white paint. But if you look at the second picture it looks more like a sanded edge.

It looks like it also says "DC" on that spot, which isn't a good sign. Is that where we'll be plugging the power in when we're not using batteries? sad.gif

Yes that is definitly where the power is plugged in.
Alpha2
You can see the power cord coming down the reviewers right hand while he's holding he powered units. he probably has an L shaped plug on his PSU, which isnt an worse than using the PSP's charger/adapter... unless mayne if you REALLY hold your systems tight.
