What are the general prices ranges you've find for various SD cards?
Has anyone found a 1gb SD card for $50 or cheaper? Just looking for a few suggestions, thanks.

Here in Canada, it's actually CHEAPER to order 1gb SD cards from the US, even with shipping and customs.
From GP32z, total and shipping would be about 120 Canadian
For the lowest quality SD card here in Canada from the cheapest retailer is like $129 BEFORE taxes, which is %14 total.

I'm just back from Jonesbouragh, its on. They just said it was off because the cops keep raiding it.
They've got some class fireworks.
EDIT: Yaustar: That store charges £15 for delivery to here, so it ain't that good for me

Yeah, I picked up one of those recently. They're Viking cards, a 'brand' with which I had pretty good experience with on the GP32 & SMC.

Cheaper than $50 in the US? no, I think that's pretty much the cut off.

eCost's timed sales, There's a 1gb for 35 bucks after and a 2gb going for about $109, both after rebate.

I live in New West just outside of Vancouver. You can get a 1G SD Kingston at Atic Computers for $76 CAN. Check them out I think it is cheeper than shipping it in from the US.

Problem is getting someone to go there for me and buy the card. (long story)
Then I gotta give them gas money or busfare for going.
Might just get a 1gb from there then.

from what I understand flash cards are pretty sturdy things. you're likely to get less re-writes on a cheap card but you have to ask if you're likely to completely fill then erase the card 500+ times...
Apparently it's the opposite of those USB sticks which fail all the time

4GB SD Cards... wow! I didn't realize that they were available.
$360CAD=$306USD=254€=£175
I don't think that I'm going to buy a card that costs more than the GP2X itself, however!

Looks like its a CF card, not an SD one... but as you say, it costs more than the unit itself lol.
