If anyone doesn't mind going eBay, the seller named "straighttrading" sells primarily SanDisk and Kingston SD cards from 512M to 2G. I've gotten two 1GB's for under $30 (including shipping)each and one 2GB for under $40 from him already and they have all been good product.

Wow, prices on ebay have dropped dramatically since I last visited.

I might order a 4GB card, only AU$120, inc shipping smile.gif

HAY GUYS, IS IT CHEAP YET!?

4GB 133x SD Card for $48.99 AR! BUY NOW
BenScar
Hello all,

Looking about I've found a couple of things that I think are pretty good deals.

First off, battery charger...
Mains or in Car, 30 to 90 minute charge for a set of 4 AA 2300mAh, supplied WITH 4 2300mAh batteries.
Will do AAA batteries as well.
All this for £11.48!

Fameart 4-Way Charger

Also, on the same site, speedy SD cards.
Quoted as being 160x for reading (24Mb/s) and 133x (20Mb/s) for writing.
I believe this would cover most films spooling off them (although I'm no film expert, I just know these are faster than my SD cards!)
1 Gig for £13.57 and 2 Gig for £24.99. Not bad prices at all.

Datawrite SD Mem Cards

Hope it's of some use

This is my first post on these boards, and I have a GP2X coming in a couple of weeks. Excited I am! laugh.gif

Now, down to business. I know it's been a while since this thread's been updated, but I hopefully have some useful links. Those folks in Melbourne Australia may not be familiar with MSY, but suffice it to say they are a cheap cheap place with little service (generally, there are exceptions). The prices, however, are exceptional to say the least.

Updated daily, they put a 3 page PDF document out with their (cash/EFT) prices. Contained therein are the following:

Some of today's offerings:
USB External Card Rdr AUD$11.00 (inc. GST)
Generic* 1GB SD Card AUD$29.00 (inc. GST)
Generic* 2GB SD Card AUD$61.00 (inc. GST)
*Ask nicely, and they likely will have the A-Data range of SD cards also, as I know they are closely linked with a distributor in Melbourne who push an awful lot of A-Data stuff out to the market. Pricing will still be good, but a few dollars more than the generics above.

Also, for Aussie IT purchasing in general, check out Static Ice for a list of lowest-priced vendors for whatever particular product you search for. Well worth a look.

Cheers cool.gif

Might have to cut and paste that, but anyway... It's a 30GB external USB harddrive, in a nice enclosure. Only $59.99. Also acts as a card reader, although for some reason it says it only reads 1GB or smaller SD cards. That spec might be wrong. I could see myself using this quite a bit once a BoB that I like becomes easily attainable, instead of using multiple SD cards.

Uhhh.... $64 - $10 MIR is the same thing as $54 AR... is there an echo in here? Plus, the one I posted was cheaper, $48.99 AR, though the deal seems to be expired.

I think the link died... It's still there at the same price.

I bought an A-data 2GB card, shipping included was $40.. Kinda my fault a bit, been buying online alot it feels second nature so I dint do a search before I buy. 3 weeks and nothing arrive, they dont answer emails and only the answer machine comes up when I call them. I did a search on them, Im not the only person they have stolen money from.

http://www.pricegrabber.com/user_acct_rati.../userid=1596519

So please do not buy anything from this place, I did the best I could to report them to some sort of authority. But they only care if its a $500+ value purchase.

Hey Shadowsithe,

Have you purchased this card yet? There are no specs listed on their website. My worry is that it is a slow reading/writing card and may have compatibilty issues with the GP2X. I am interested in hearing your review of the card.

Cheers
