You dont plan on raping it when you have it naked do you. sad.gif

The fact that you need to ask how to take apart a GP2X held together by only 4 screws is testament to your ability to use one. Which is to say, none.

It's incredibly simple to do what you describe ... but you've acted like a total douche in the past so I don't think I'm going to bother typing it up. Good job smile.gif

OK, to strip down the gp2x, you'll need 2 tools, a hammer and a chisel. simply turn the gp2x upside down and place the chisel at the left hand side, hit the chisel with the hammer until it's severed the two screws at the left hand side. repeat for the right hand side.

While you have the gp2x open, you may want to remove some of the "coverings" on the chips, this will make you able to overclock to 300+MHz. to do this, put the edge of your chisel just above the silver pins on the chip, then hit it sideways with your hammer, until the black covering is removed. repeat for all the chips you can see.

sorted!

The GP2X isn't a pile of shit, though I cannot say the same for your opinions.

I think the same about you, but you don't see me posting it everywhere.

Who cares what this guy likes. He don't like it fine dump it, it is not like the scene will implode if some guy sells his GP2X. I is not like he is some ub3r l337 coder or something.

Losing any member is sad though. So what if he doesn't do anything productive for the community.. He is now going to spread bad rumors about his experience with the 2x.
Ranma13
On the bright side, he'll sell it someone who actually wants one.

No. He won't live that long.
If you try to leave the Brotherhood of the GP2X (BoG), they come and kill you to keep you quiet.

That's why the people who have sold their '2Xs don't post here anymore.

Yes, it's such actions that put the Evil in EvilDragon. That's why I sold my GP32 *after* buying my GP2X. So that there was an overlap, and as such avoided death.

Then why did you buy it?

I think maybe he expected a pile of expensive fecal matter.

I found that my MK2 is worlds better than my FE or my MK1. It even feels heavier, is that possible?

But it definitely feels plenty sturdy to me. I sold my MK1 on ebay and bought the MK2 when I sold my main PC.

It is cool but I need to sell the MK2 and I will likely buy a MK3 if/when they come out. Or even just a MK2 if the PSX Emu is claimed full, or even half, speed on 3D titles.

laugh.gif laugh.gif Dust, that is a good one. Seriously, don't knock all GP2X's if you only have an FE or a MK1, or even if you got one of the broken MK2's. I don't think dust gets in the MK2's, at least none has got in mine yet smile.gif.

Take out 4 screws, pry open, unscrew mainboard, don't rip ribbon cable. Blow LCD off with compressed air.

Put together, get mainboard crooked. Get shoulder buttons in wrong. Remove screws, put in shoulder buttons, shift motherboard via any available means until joystick is fully lined up. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. And please, don't squeeze the Charmin.

Isn't there a guide on this somewhere?
sand_man
Just remember, he may have asked a stupid question to begin with but he has only replied honestly to a question someone asked him. No need to flame him.

shouldn't you have had a goal or something to do with it; before you purchased it?
for example, i purchased a ds to play games. i purchased a gp2x to make a game and play emulator games, or something like that.
