We all know that GP2X emulation is the sh!t. Here's a set of videos to prove it.

Until the the XGP emulation scene takes off (or appears!) here are some videos on YouTube that shows off the GP2X against the GBA and DS in emulating the NES, SNES, PCEngine, and Atari 2600.

Just as an example even with NES emulation (everything emulates it these days including my alarm clock), the display and resolution on the GBA and DS just doesn't cut it.

NES: NTSC/PAL at 256 x 240
GBA: 2.9" LCD at 240 x 160
DS: 3" LCD (each) at 256 x 192
GP2X: 3.5" LCD at 320 x 240 (higher for video-out)

I wish I could take credit for it but it's just a set of videos that got me interested in buying a GP2X.

For using emulators, can I use the ds llite instead of normal dses?

The list is the history, and shows which video games have coming out.

I wish youtube would allow you to download the vids as it is otherwise impossible to view them on dialup and youtube just happens to be the server of choice for everyone.

I don't assume that people who are active members of a GP2X forum would put their GP2X at the bottom of a list of gaming devices. Also, his sig says "console HISTORY", giving me the impressing that his list is a chronological listing of the consoles he's owned.

Kinda, sorta. Apparently videos in the "Added" tag list the SNES and PCEngine as added about 3 weeks ago from Aug 6th but the NES and Atari 2600 versus videos were just posted on Aug 5th.

I completely agree. There are a ton of DS vs. PSP "load times" videos on YouTube (boringgggggg). I want to see a head to head between a GP2X and PSP emulating MAME, NeoGeo, and SNES. Maybe even GBA to see which one sucks more.

The person making the video doesn't even have to have a GP2X. They could just take one of the GP2X videos that were camcordered but not recorded through TV-Out (to be fair) and just put it side by side next to their own PSP video.

On the SNES video, did you notice that Ninja Warrior actually ran better than the GP2X? Hmmmm....
