Interesting. I walked into my local radio shack to buy some 2800's, and they told me that i could only get something above 2300 at an industrial outlet >_>

Im using their 15 min. rechargeables atm, and theyre great and all, but im looking for something more powerful considering theyre only 2000mah. Ive had my eye on the e^2 energizer 2500 rechargeables, but now that ive discovered these im not so sure.

I'm using the energizer 2500's that came with the energizer charger i bought, and so far they've proven pretty reliable. I get about 4-6 hours of mixed usuage from them, but i haven't run my 2x from charge till they ran out so i;m not sure how long they actually last.

yeah I was looking at the bundle pack, but what kept me from buying them on sale was the fact that they don't actually tell you the charging time. I saw another energizer charger that came with the weaker 2000 batteries that said "one hour charger", but the 2500 set doesnt say. How long does it take to fully charge?

Hey I got a question. Would it be ok if I put high capacity batteries in one of those 15 minute chargers that came with ~2000 mah batteries?

Yep, should be no problem. wink.gif

On a side note, Radio Shack is a shit company. wink.gif

On another side note, the 2500 mah Energizers do the trick well. cool.gif

Those "15 Minute chargers" are all shitty...

I believe craig said that most of the current high capacity (2800+ ish) are usually just a fatter battery that, although does fit into the gp2x, it is a bit tight. I also have a feeling that you wont notice much of a difference but 20-30 mins at most. I'll just wait till they have some magical 3000 or higher ones.

I personally love my energizer 2500's. They are the bee's knees

Edit: i probably have about 12-16 of the energizer 2500 rechargables. There was a super extra mega mondo value pack at sams club a few months back.

You're right on the edge then as I've gotten about 5-6 hours on a set of these Energizer 2500's. I am using my GP2X just for games so not sure how the batteries run on movies and music though.

This is the one I bought. I got 8 AA and 4 AAA batteries with the charger. I've never actually timed the charge but with 4 AA batteries in the charger at all times I never run out of batteries either. I *believe* they take about 4 hours to charge.

I got some 2800's on ebay and they were NOT 2800. Sure the chinese label listed them as 2800 but I charged them up and they lasted like 20 mins so beware of cheap looking batteries from no name chinese distributors.

Batteries that don't use the IC3 technology will take an extremely long time to charge inside a 15 minute charger (around ten hours). If you don't mind the idea behind IC3 15 minute chargers (bad conditioning of your batteries), then you should just opt for a real charger that charges all batteries in 30 minutes or an hour. Forego the IC3 tehcnology altogether, it's a waste of money really.

ebay: i got a 12-pack 2500mAh w/o brand for about $12... and they work fine in a 1h charger too :-)

I think the best way to make sure your batteries are fully charged when you use an intelligent speed charger is to let it charge till it says its full and the green lights pop on. Give the batteries a touch if they are still hot leave them in until they feel cold or cooler then thats when they are properly charged and you should remove them. I do this with my 2300mAh and 2600mAh batteries and they always fully discharge when I'm using them in my logitech wireless mouse and GP2X.

nice thread....

i bought my gp2x last week and so far ive gone through 28 non rechargeable batteries and had about 5mins worth of gameplay sad.gif the batteries are fine, but as someone pointed out, non rechargeable batteries are simply shite for keeping a constant voltage, and they just keep crashing the thing mad.gif

i buying some rechargeable jobbies tomorrow though, hopefully i'll be able to play with it properly for once biggrin.gif
