cool hack...

old hack smile.gif

It will be nice when something like that works by just shoving it in the sd slot however.

Yes it was, long time ago, but it is good to remind people of it, might inspire someone of a new mod smile.gif

Speaking of which, Ive been wondering about the feasibility of whacking a GPU into the SD slot..... would be interesting, no? smile.gif

4-bit interface at 25mhz? Too little bandwidth for a GPU.

How about a barcode scanner, digital camera, tv tuner or fingerprint recognition?

Stuff like this should be on the front page.

So how can this get on the front page ?

digital camera would be nice smile.gif I know of some digital cameras via CF slot...but we don't have CF slot, do we wink.gif

I dunno. Running at a lower res at 256 colours you could probably rip off more than a frame every 1/50 sec.

Supposedly the 33x cards do 5M/sec, which is ~100k per frame (at 50Hz). Running at 320x200 (my favourite resolution smile.gif) would require ~64k per frame at 256 colours.

Running at full throttle, the interface should be able to support a GPU, unless my math is completely wrong smile.gif Not a great GPU mind, but a GPU smile.gif Given a decent enough buffer on the card and you could probably do some very funky stuff with it.

Anyway, just pie in the sky smile.gif
