I've been gone from 'the scene' for about 6 months. Could anyone please give me a recap on the major happening since then? I left right about when the PS1 emulator was in closed beta (or alpha, whatever)
Thanks.

A lot's happened in six months, including:
* Absolutely tons of quality homebrew.
* Gmenu2X improving out of sight.
* PicoDrive by Notaz, using second core for sound, becomes about the best Genesis emulator ever seen. You underclock most games drastically and still have full speed.
* Sega CD emulation (from Notaz again)! Sonic CD is fullspeed with sound, and many others are now playable, including Snatcher.
* DrPocketSNES by Reesy which has transparencies at fullspeed in most games. Combined with an even faster SquidgeSNES (courtesy Notaz, Reesy, pepone and of course Squidge), SNES is in an excellent state.
* Rixed's gpu940 allowing OpenGL to be run dual core. Egoboo2X is a perfect example of this.
* CPS2 emulation, which is already fullspeed with sound.
* GBA looks like it'll be fullspeed very shortly.
* Descent port, which runs great.
and much more...

Holy cow. How about the new versions of MAME from franxis that play a billion (maybe 2x) as well as the version from 6mo ago.
