How old is your GP2X?
My GP2X's birthday is on August 31st 2006. (Yeah, I'm from the U.S., and my date system is probably wierd to most here. biggrin.gif )

By the way, what is your serial number? I'm trying to determine the highest one. Mine is 0007162. I'm assuming that GPH has merely numbered each one serially off of the line. Perhaps this could also be used for a rough estimate for the real numbers of GP2Xs sold.
Ripster
Not exactly sure when I received my unit... but it was purchased on May 23rd 2007. And there does not seem to be a serial number on mine.

The serial number is AFAIK not continous.

Mine is relatively new: April 23, 2007
Aki
Heh, exactly 3 months now - got it on 4. April 2007.

By the way the serial says 2007.02.06 - GP2XV003 - 00000275.
dosteridge
I really can't remember, I pre-ordered it as soon as I received the news letter from gbax. It's a mk 1 first edition, but I have since had a d-pad mod.

When was it released now, was it November 05 or is was it later than that?

I remember that it came not long before christmas, because my wife wrapped it up to give me as a present smile.gif

How odd, mine's 2006.08.31 - GP2XV127 - 00007162. Mine is older, yet yours says "V003". Wierd. blink.gif

Apparently your GP2X was produced 3 days after mine and where were produced 122 units between mine and yours tongue.gif
Mine: 2007.02.06 - GP2XV003 - 00000275

EDIT: Everyone let's check the serials and see if we find units that were born the same day! biggrin.gif

That would be cool if two of them were born on the same day.

Hmmm... 122 units, 3 days, that's about 40 units a day. I guess we know about what GPH's production rate was for February 2007. That's di-icosa-tuplets. (I don't know the prefix for 40, just 20 and 2.) biggrin.gif

Ahh damn, mine is 00000058 from the same batch I suppose, so DynaMight's is a bit older.

I got a first edition, as soon as they were available here in the U.S. From GP32Z, I believe.

I`ll have to ask the builders how old mine is (if i ever see them again), As one of the F**KERS, I mean SOD'S nicked it when they were refurbishing our kitchen, Bathroom and toilet. Though i did place my order for it on the 06/09/05.

Bob, I hope you choke on my GP2x. mad.gif

Karma will make sure he gets what's coming to him, let's all go harvest his penis.

On a (slightly more) serious note, post the builder's details here, and all us UK 2x'rs can perform our own vigilante brand of street justice. It's the British way!

I bought it in mid-november of 2005. I would have gotten it sooner but I had to wait for the money. I know a lot of people trash the MK1 F.E. but I've yet to have a problem and I love it like I've never loved a "gadget".

P.S. - Don't tell my GP2X I called it a gadget.

June 8 2006 – my 30th birthday (thought it was appropriate to get something to remind me of my youth)

I can't find the SN#, but then again, I put a trip of velcro on the back so it would stay in the case snuggly...it may be covering the SN

Ýou find it at the Settings -> Info menu, not in the back of the unit.

My main GP2X (or the remains of it) that I use for hacking has no case and pre-dates GPH putting serial numbers on the units wink.gif. In fact there is a strong argument that says it's not quite a GP2X anyway smile.gif.
