As the F-200 is supposed to be out this month, I presume there is nothing that will delay it, is there ?

I think Zodd broke the release date for it being on October 22. So it has enough room to start "shipping" on that day (since shipping the product out to costumers is variable in weeks time anyway;even in "next day shipping"). But it's a good chance that it could come just before Halloween.

Not so bothered if its on time - so long as when it does the dpad is better than the pre-production units.

It's a result of everything "going iPod"
Most devices (although not alot of phones) are either 1. already white or 2. have a special white version. Maybe its supposed to look sleeker?
Here is a short list of some things:

On an unrelated note and after having watched the little video, where the hell do you dock the stylus? The DS has always included somewhere to store the stylus after use? If there is no dock, I can see that this will become a popular replacement item as people start mis-placing them.

Perhaps they've done a small hole on the back (at the right of battery place) and the stylus is tied like a phone strap

Heck yes... Look at the first picture (and a couple of others).
The stylus is loose or it can be attached to the carrying strap hole with the string on the end of it. Go GPH!

In all seriousness though, you guys should appreciate GPH more. The GP2X is a very special product that opened a lot of closed doors.

I like the fact there isn't a hole for the stylus.. I have a load of spare stylus from other gizmos which I can now use!! Just tie a bit of string on it and we're sorted.

Maybe they'll include a bit of blu-tack for people who dont like the string

Honestly I thought they may have added a dock. Like I was saying every other PDA type device has one, I'm sure! Well everyone that I have used: NDS, Palm, Zodiac.

Speaking of Zodiac, maybe someone can come up with a Zodiac-like dock with out the indent.

I didn't have any choice - got an email from them saying normal delivery was only for lower cost items..

We have just been informed by Gamepark that they will not be releasing the GP2X F-200 until early next week. When we sent you the previous email, to inform you that your order would be despatched this week, we had expected our shipment to be sent from Gamepark on the 22 October.

Hmmm I think what they meant to say was. GPH is sending all distributors the f-200 on the 22nd on 24th...meaning they won't get till next week...thats when the distributors will ship us our preorders and such.

most like gp2xstore will ship around the same time.

but might take a bit longer since its US based.

Just to let you know I phoned GP2x.co.uk and they are expecting shipping from GPH next Wednesday to Friday, so the F200 will reach us either by Friday next week or Monday before 1pm (if it isn't delayed again )

I thought it was too good to be true that we would get delivery this week

Ask gp2x.co.uk to hold on to it, or send it to another address - I've got them sending mine to work so shouldn't be a problem.

According to Play asia my gp2x f200 just went fom "pre-order/backorder" to "preparing order". I guess that mean GPH got it out on time. Probably get it in a week or so.
