I've gotten 280 on mine, and one other member reported the same.

Lol, my MK1 goes to 280, its the same SoC, so it will be just as hit and miss.

I tried Dragon's Lair [Picodrive] at 280 and it froze.
250 had slight choppiness. shouldnt have went up so high.
now I cant fix it, cuz the game wont load now.

My F200 runs the gpSP ant test at 285 but locks up at 290.

check your sd card. overclocking won't damage the gp2x, but maybe you were writing to the sd card when it crashed?

PicoDrive has the option to use both CPUs... but you can't clock both CPUs so high, nor should you need to.
200MHz using both CPUs should be perfectly fine.

Try new batteries.
