Sure, there are are a couple girls on the forums here but other than that I've seen very little evidence that the GP2X holds as much appeal to girls as it does to boys.

Heh, you know what's funny is that my wife prefers my MK1 model over the new white touch screen model. Yes she loves the GP2X and prefers it over my psp. Which is very cool since we hook it up to the TV and rock out some neo-geo and MegaDrive. She loves beat em up games...and the GP2X. I seriously doubt my wife speaks for all girls though. There's an ass load of dudes that don't like it as well. So it all is really personal preference, not what sex the person is.

Some girls like the GP2X, but maybe publicity needs to be more directed toward them ( sometimes )

I am impressed that Russia has a GP2X distributor !! I must download that map of where all the gp2x users are again if I can find it. Amazing how these communities span the entire globe these days ....

Uh-huh, we don't have a GP2X distributor I've just ordered mine at the US shop (only heard about playasia later), 'cause UK doesn't seem to ship to Russia, and German store works with PayPal, which doesn't work with my bank. Now all that's left is to wait... a lo-o-ong time.

You wouldn`t believe it, but we still got few rare stores selling cartridges for Sega and Nes.
PSP is most popular portable gaming device. NDS found its user too. Third one is GBA, isnt expensive and easy to find games. Also we`ve got strange chinese thing - Megadrive Portable.

Most popular console, i would say its PlayStation-2. Less popular Wii and X-box360. PS-3 way too expensive and.. mgm...
it isn`t cracked yet Ж)
Personally i dont have any next-gen consoles for now. Only old NES-clone and SEGA MD.

im still saving money for one, but yes, at least I like it. even if the psp got my attention first because of it design, the gp2x got me with the open source deal. (I don't feel like spending money on games, i feel it better spent on hardware). the f200 has the touchscreen which has an extra appeal,i have owned a couple of old palms and the touchscreen really changes the feels on games like bejeweled, or "shooting" games.
I think girls are grabbed by cute games (i.e. nintendogs) rather than pink and fluffy stuff (personal opinion.....YUCK i have hated pink since birth and most techie girls i know hate the 'let's paint it pink and sell it as a girl item' trend) The gp2x has had really no impact in my country, i have never seen one, so i can't really say if girls like it but i'll surely get some feedback once i get the money and buy the thing.

Just what i think too! I dont hate pink colour, though. But this colour just isnt supposed to be for a hi-tech gaming device. I`m not sure what girl can seriosly make decision to buy just because of "cute" colour! Grrr...
We aren`t as stupid, as the whole world may think.

Playability is the main reason to buy a console. Not a graphic or even processor`s power. Just how much joy can you get from games at this platform, how many games can catch you and take you into another world with their atmosphere...

BTW: I would rather play Battle City`s hack where enemies can take prizes (Ow, two-player`s mode there is a killer ) than some casual graphic-heavy soulless shooter.

My girlfriend doesn't like my gp2x...mostly because when I start playing sqdef I'm like: "Yes honey just a minute, FUCK, that stupid BOSS!!!, what were you saying love?"...well still when we were on vacation she was taking my gp2x from me to play the very same game and then she have been setting her personal status message to "Away and don't disturb" (is you can imagine setting status message IRL ).
2. My sister loves Mario land so for first 2 months I had to steal my gp2x from her to use it. After she finished all Mario games I had I could finally use my GP2X

I would say girls don't like the gp2x if you look on this forum there are only boys, and girls do not like thick systems they are fan of phones not games consoles most majority games girls can't even play they are into puzzle games they can get them kind of games on 3g phones.

I dunno... as I say, I know a fair few girls who like my GP2x. They just wouldn't think of going out of their way to buy one. Or for that matter to buy the latest phone.

My little sister wants to by a F200. She's 12 though.
