So any opinions on the new Gamepark GP3X Wiz?

Personally I think they totally screwed up with the d-pad instead of buttons on the right..

1) That's because they are still deciding the new layout. We'll see it when it is done.
2) The news came out about a month ago. It is heavily discussed in the gp2x forum, and was discussed here only to have the threads moved. It's not relevant to this forum as its own topic.
3) Check the GP2X forums.
