i was thinking of all the games \ emulators for the gp2x that where started and not finished for various reasons and was thinking if the original coders could upload there unfinished forgotten projects for others to pick up there work and have a go at finishing it... just a thought ...

We have that already, it´s called "open source".
However it is hard for a programmer to continue work on undocumented, untidy code of someone else. Which is what programming projects in their first stages often consist of. So it is often a big effort just to get a programming project ready for the release of sourcecode. And given the uncertainty if anyone will actually have a look at it, or even continue the work, it is questionable if that work is worthwile.
