Hi all,
So, I got myself an F-200 off of someone on eBay, and I was having a great time with it, when all of a sudden, I can't get beyond the GPH screen, even with fresh batteries, and both with and without an SD card in there.
I figured I needed to re-install the firmware (it was at version 4.0 when I got it), so off to the file archives I went. They had the firmware there, but there was different ones for older and newer models of the F-200.
My question is, how can I tell what kind of F-200 my one is?

If it came with 4.0.0 on it, don't upgrade. Nothin' but trouble.
The information in the archives is wrong; it says that 4.0.2 is for the F200( B ), but it's not true. Many of us have the F200( B ) model that came with 4.0.0.
Reflash with 4.0.0.

[edit] But before you do, can you test it with a power supply first? You'll want to use one when you're flashing anyway. Just on the off chance that it's a battery or other power related problem.

Ah, thanks for the info there.
I don't have a power supply, will I need a GP2X-specific one, or any sort of regular plug thing?

Thanks a lot for your help, I'll get onto sorting something out. Such a shame when this sort of thing happens, ah well.
